On 17 March a convoy of vehicles packed with relief items was sent to the destroyed areas of japan. We are assessing the situation to determine how best to scale up our response.

'It is a huge challenge at the moment to procure much-needed food, water and sanitary items. We managed to source supplies from Western Japan which we will distribute to affected families in an emergency shelter in Kamaishi city'

World Vision

South Australian building and hardware specialists, Stratco, will donate $2,000 to their World Vision water and sanitation projects each time Adelaide United Football Club (AUFC) scores during the 2011/12 A-League season.

Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal

The Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal helps Queenslanders affected by recent flooding and Tropical Cyclone Yasi. Many communities have been devastated. Some families have lost everything.

Significant flooding occurred in many areas of Queensland during late December 2010 and early January 2011, with three quarters of the state declared a disaster zone.

Recovery work is underway, with support available for those affected and opportunities for everyone to help others in need.

An independent Commission of Inquiry with all the powers of a Royal Commission has been established to examine the unprecedented flood disaster.
