World Donation Day-25/NOV/2011

1DC would like to present the worlds first ever ‘World Donation Day’ which will take place on November 25th each year, beginning in 2011.
Throughout a calendar year, there are many different international days promoting or raising awareness for a variety of initiatives and causes. These include:

- World Cancer Day, February 4th-2011.
- International Women’s Day, March 8th-2011.
- World Hepatitis Day, May 19th-2011.
- World AIDS Day, December 1st-2011.

There are hundreds if not thousands of great causes that deserve there own ‘World Day’ like the above mentioned. Many of these World Days attempt to not only raise awareness but also encourage people to donate to a particular charity.

A fantastic initiative that happens each year in Melbourne is The Good Friday Appeal, which generates almost $15 million in just one day (Good Friday) for the Royal Children's Hospital. One day every year the whole of Australia come together and dig deep or donate a few dollars for a great cause. But imagine if there was a similar donating initiative worldwide, and everyone donated? how much money could be raised? how many different great causes could benefit?

The 1DC World Donation Day will be based on the format of the Good Friday Appeal. We will have call centers set up to collect donations for your charity of choice.
In the 21st Century, our schedules and workloads are busier than ever before. Although it would be ideal for everyone to volunteer some time to help a cause, sometimes it is simply impossible. Donating is the easiest and simplest way to give a helping hand. We encourage everyone to donate to any cause or charity close to your heart on World Donation Day.

Make a difference.

1Donation is all it takes...
Regards,
Alen - 1DC

P.s. Which charity is close to your heart that you would like to donate on World Donation Day- 25th of November, 2011 and why?

  1. Nice video although it goes very fast so its hard to interpret the letters flashing on the screen and how they all linked together, still it gets the message accross and the music suited it really well. as for a particular charity to donate to i would go with the RSPCA cause i like animals and you can help animals with little financese, whilst helping humans is just imposible and takes much more time and money. So i would guarentee some long term results from helping animals as opposed to humans who can go backwards despite the efforts of caring people based charities. Keep up the good work.
